Are you talking about version 6.0?

This can't be true. fields.related is already a subclass of
fields.function, so "isinstance(f, fields.function)" will be true for
related ones, too.

  related fields with store=true are not updated

Status in OpenERP Server:
  New

Bug description:
  If a related field with store=True exists and the column is dropped
  from the database, when the server is restarted with -u module the
  column is created again, but data in existing records is not updated.

  The attached patch fixes the issue by treating related fields the same
  way function fields are.
