Hello Frederic,

I have tested your scenario at my end. But all are working fine.
For cancellation of cash register please follow the following steps.

1) Install account_cancel module.
2)Open Cash register and enter the opening balance.
3)open cash-box and enter the cash transaction
4) Enter the closing balance.
5) For the cancel of the cash register first you have to cancel a related account move(which is currently in posted state) so in related journal set "Allow Canceling entries " true and cancel the related move.
6) Now you can cancel the cash-register.

I hope this will helpful  for you.

I have attached a video for your reference, So please check it.

This is not a bug and I am closing this issue.

  Trunk - Impossible to cancel a cash register

Status in OpenERP Modules (addons):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hi there,

  I cannot find the way to cancel a cask register (once closed) although I have installed account_cancel module and ticked in my cask journal the possibility to cancel entries 
  I get a user error "you cannot delete posted movement..."
  Can you reproduce this or is it just me?
