2nd, I think C:\Users\username is not appropriate.
Windows convention would be to use a subdirectory OpenERP (or OpenERP 6.0\Client) in $APPDATA.

APPDATA=C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming (could be Local or LocalLow, I
don't know where that depends on)

Bug description:
  When the client ends a session where you got an error message, you get
  a message box "See the logfile C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenERP 6.0
  \openerp-client.exe.log", though the log is stored in
  C:\Users\username\openerp-client.log.
