i just want to remember that subtotal is only calculated when pressing "Compute"

nevertheless it's usefull to see the sub_total when switching from tree
to form AFTER Compute

and you are right sub_totals should be calculated "on the fly" to be
user friendly

just imagine to enter some 20-40 lines (especially in web) without
knowing if qty*price gives a reasonable sub_total
