did you use the zip? That also didn't work for me, but Albert told me to
download the branch via bazaar, and the included module works in v6.

  Jasper report module not working with openerp 6

Bug description:
  Hi, we are not able to use the jasper report module downloaded from
  https://launchpad.net/openobject-client-kde on openerp 6. We have to
  do the attached modification for this to work. Please fix this issue
  by adding this patch or creating new module for openerp 6.
