hey guys,

can anyone help me in layman's language. I am not getting anything, on
how to go about it. I have installed open ERP on a windows 7 machine and
face the same problem while trying to take the backup.

would appreciate any help regarding it.

  Backup fails

Status in OpenERP GTK Client:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Trying to backup a database 5.0.0 rc3 freezes for two minutes and then
  messages "Could not contact server!" and "Couldn't backup database."
  pop up.

  Client log contains:

  WARNING:translate:Unable to set locale English_United States.cp1257

  Server log doesn't contain nothing.

  
  Are there any other ways to backup a database in order to import it again into OpenERP?
