Ferdinand,

thanks for your explanation. I confirm your findings. In fact the only
place where I can reproduce my findings are in a custom module, so it
only occurs in a very specific combination of circumstances. Which is
unfortunate, as I agree that the introduction of the combobox in one(!)
of the clients is a step backwards.

  search view - criteria are m2o fields instead of substring search

Status in OpenERP Web Client:
  New

Bug description:
  the web client displays filter fields as m2o instead of char fields 
  hence it is only possible to filter one criteria while in GTK a (more) substring filter is implemented 

  this is limiting the usefulness of the analyses tool
