[Bug 734897] Re: account_report gives wrong results in custom reporting

Hello Hobbes,

Our R&D Teams are focused on the latest OpenERP version, and this issue does not affect it.
Our policy is to keep the changes applied on stable branches to a minimum, in order to limit the regression risks for customers that are in production. This means that bugs reported on Launchpad are fixed in the trunk branch only by default, even if they were reported against other stable versions.

We stand of course ready to backport the change to stable releases if it
has an impact on any customer. In this case please report it to our
maintenance team(support@xxxxxxxxxxx) via the OpenERP Publisher's
Warranty. They will quickly help solve the issue and backport the fix if
needed.

Thank you for your understanding!

Title:
account_report gives wrong results in custom reporting

Status in OpenERP Modules (addons):
  Won't Fix
Status in “openerp-server” package in Debian:
  Invalid

Bug description:
the openerp version I'm using is 5.0.15 on debian unstable, both
server and gtk client. The same behaviour is observed on a CentOS
  server with the web client.

  Howto reproduce;
  - the account_report module must be enabled
  - go to Financial Management -> Configuration -> Custom reporting
  - create a new test formula: "balance('7')", of type "Fiscal Statement", and save it
  - click on the "Fiscal Satement" print button on the left

In my case, the reported amount is -12325.00, which is completely bogus.
The real balance should be -2485 for 2011, or -27811,36 for 2010, as can be seen for example in the "Chart of Accounts" screen.

Don't hesitate to ask for more info, I have a test server on which I
  duplicated the DB.

  Thanks,
