Sorry, I hadn't understood the first post.
Yes, I guess it is quite impossible to do that in launchpad's rosetta.. We are
talking about a different "version" of translations, that is functionally
different from the previous one. Rosetta cannot go that far.
One way, technically, would be to activate the /migrations/ mechanism (for all
people) and ship a different version of the module, so that the version
transition will trigger the migration scripts and those will fix the db.

Title:
unable to fix translation error without breaking intallations
Status in OpenERP Server:
New
Bug description:
I just discovered in my DB and in LP
wrong German translation
ID numbers are (good) examples form current v6 installation.
ID=1 Corp. -> GmbH
ID=2 Ltd. - Ltd. (untranslated)
correct would be
ID=1 Corp. -> AG
ID=2 Ltd. -> GmbH
changing the translation would cause the following scenario
before changing translation
* new partner: user selects GmbH -> intern Corp. -> id (1)
change translation Corp > AG
* partner will be displayed ID = 1 - > Corp -> AG
obviously it's a simple script to update all ID's from 1 to 2 but how
can this be achieved automatically?
