I have checked with the  latest stable version 6.0 and It is working as expected.
would you please  provide me your end  configuration related to different users and assigned groups,record rules.

  Lookup form not showing the data

Status in OpenERP Modules (addons):
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  It seems that on my OpenERP version (6.0) lookups are not working. For
  example: you have a new sales order (or invoice or what ever) and you
  have a partner field. If you start typing partners name system will
  show you results in dropdown and that's fine.

  But, if you click on lookup icon to get the table view of all partners
  (or anything else like currencies, contacts etc) you either get an
  empty table or your company if you are looking for partners.

  Not sure if that's related with web client version 6.0 or not since on
  GTK client is working correctly.
