I have checked the similar issue with latest updated code at my end and did not face any problem.
Would you please provide me complete steps to reproduce the same problem at my end.

Title:
  Sales::Contacts::Edit contact::"Partner function" is not saving the
  data

Status in OpenERP Modules (addons):
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Trying to add data in "Partner function" field when adding a new
  contact/editing a contact. But after saving the contact, the value
  added under "Partner function" field. Please refer the screenshot.

  Can you help me on this?
