lot of change were done for v6.1 in calendar, we will able the feature of reminder and correct problem that could appear.

But the backport of this feature is different in v6.0 and I suggest you
to contact the support team of openerp to make the bug be fix in 6.0.

  [6.0+Trunk] Events Reminder not working

Bug description:
  Hi,

  We try to use the automatic events reminder feature, but it didn't
  work. After checking the code, I see that the cron sheduler is totally
  disabled : http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp/openobject-
  addons/6.0/view/head:/base_calendar/base_calendar.py#L809 !

  The method returns True and nothing is run... I checked the trunk
  repo, it's the same. Please, fix and merge it to stable so this
  feature can works on 6.0.
