Re: [Bug 791350] Re: Sub Contracting Manufacturing Stock Moves

Yes... it's a bug but... how to solve it with standar modules if
conceptually there is no way to configure a semi-elaborated material that
will come back from supplier?
That is... standar modules are not oriented to produce by operations. There
is no way to consume or produce materials on each operation, so it's very
difficult programming properly this functionality if you don't have the
basis to build it.

Please Siddique try the extended modules where subcontracting proccess have
to build automatically:

1. The purchase order to buy the subcontracted operation. After, you will
receive an invoice for the service, never for materials you send to
supplier. So... you can control the quantities and prices you closed with
supplier.
2. The outgoing picking with materials
3. The incoming picking with semi-elaborated product.
After receiving the semi-elaborated you can go on with next operation which
will consume this semi-elaborated to produce another one.

Wishing this helps:

Ana

Title:
  Sub Contracting Manufacturing Stock Moves

Status in OpenERP Modules (addons):
  New

Bug description:
I try to do Sub Contracting Manufacturing. The case is I am going to deliver material to partner and they are going to produce and ship the material back to me.
But when we start the production order for the main Product which has this Sub Contracting Assembly then what OpenERP currently doing is-
  1. Creates Delivery Order for all the RAW materials -- this is correct
  2. Once I confirm the Delivery Order it creates Incoming Shipments of all the RAW materials again.?? BUG BUG

It should create incoming shipment with the finished assembly and not
  the RAW materials again.

Please let me know about the same. I am using OpenERP 6.0.2

  Sid
