I have exactly the same problem when using web client 6.0.2 as shown on
the m.karrer (m-karrer) 's purchasevalidation.avi .

I've tried by using GTK Client, it is working fine. Is this a bug?

  [Webclient R 4519] Validation of Pickings does not refresh window or
  shows any success - until reload

Status in OpenERP Web Client 6.0 series:

Bug description:
  [ OpenerERP 6.0 Webclient revision 4519]

  If i try to validate a picking in the webclient the windows stays open and nothing seems to happen
  (All i get is a the save and the save and edit buttons but the window does not close or shows any sucess for the operation)

  If i close the window and refresh the view with F5 i can see that the
  picking is already in done state and everything happended correctly so
  i guess its a bug with the view itself?!?

  Steps to reproduce (in the webclient):
  1.) Press on any Picking (A window openes to validate)
  2.) Press the validate Button (nothing happens and the window stays open)
