Stephane, what's the status on this? I had to locally rewrite setup.py
for my usage or has this been fixed in trunk?

  setup.py sdist is broken

Status in OpenERP Server:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  The 'data_files' argument to setup() is not recognised in setuptools
  (whereas it was in distutils).

  As such, the 'data_files = data_files()' line does nothing, and only
  the Python files are produced in the output tarball.
