Hello Kevin,

I have checked your bug report.

I am agree with your one point which is if the product type="Service"
and the invoice control="from picking" then the related PO's  invoice is
not possible.

But Would you please take this on following way:

IF you have more then one PO line and some purchase order line have
service type product and some PO line have "Stockable" or "Consumable"
product then we will not hide the invoice control="from picking".

Now you have set the invoice control="from picking" and confirmed the
PO. Process the picking and then create the invoice. Now you will see
the all products in invoice (with "Service" type product also).

So currently we can not take the restriction over there.

This is not a generalise issue and we need to more discussion this
before implementing this.

So currently I am setting this as an "Opinion".

@Experts: Would you please share your views on this.

  Po for service where invoice control = "from picking"

Bug description:
  For a trading company, the normal invoice control for a purchase order when buying goods is "from picking" - i.e. you pay for what you get.
  When a service product is purchased, if the invoice control is left at "from picking" there is no way to process the supplier invoice. 

  Options:
  1. Treat the same way as for invoice control="manual". ie can create invoice from purchase lines not invoices screen.
  2. Do not allow a service line to have "from picking" - this may cause issues where there is a mix of product & service in the same PO.
