Understand what you are saying and agree that in a multi-line PO with a
combination of product and service this is not an issue.

Where I see this happening is when the PO is generated from a SO - this
will often be for a single line as from a unique supplier - unless the
user remembers to change the invoice control they cannot process the
invoice against the PO

  Po for service where invoice control = "from picking"

Status in OpenERP Modules (addons):
  Opinion

Bug description:
  For a trading company, the normal invoice control for a purchase order when buying goods is "from picking" - i.e. you pay for what you get.
  When a service product is purchased, if the invoice control is left at "from picking" there is no way to process the supplier invoice. 

  Options:
  1. Treat the same way as for invoice control="manual". ie can create invoice from purchase lines not invoices screen.
  2. Do not allow a service line to have "from picking" - this may cause issues where there is a mix of product & service in the same PO.
