Title:
create database in gtk client doesn't enforce specification of default
language
Status in OpenERP GTK Client:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
in the gtk client, File->Databases->New Database , on initial
database creation the "Default Language" combo box is empty.
The ok button starts out greyed. When you enter something for
"Administrator Password" and "Confirm Password" the ok button is
available again. If you click ok at this point, it tells you "bad
database name". So you enter in a database name and click ok, and you
get "Error during database creation: The server crashed during
installation. We suggest you drop this database". This is because
"Default Language" is required, but unlike all the other required
attributes it seems that no checking is done before sending off to
server for processing.
Apologies if this is a duplicate bug, I tried searching the existing
database several times but kept getting "Timeout error".
