[Bug 828046] Re: caldav de.po file seems malformed

The DEBUG message in the log is what it says, a DEBUG message ;-) As
mentioned previously, if you enable DEBUG logging, you will see a lot of
messages that are only relevant for developers, and even then, only in
certain situations. This one is no exception, it simply means that the
term was used in a context where no user language can be determined
(i.e. when the database is only starting), so it is used untranslated.
The quoting is correct in the PO file in your screenshot (which is generated by LP, by the way). It is part of the specification of PO files that any term can be split in multiple quoted lines. All the lines are unquoted and joined together before the value is used, so any way you split a long sentence is equivalent. Having an initial empty part ("") is common when splitting large terms, as it makes the indentation for the actual text identical on all the lines, and thus more readable.
