I have had the same issue with default values not being in effect for
all users. I tried to set the default value of the "state" field in the
leads wizard to send a add a new internal note (crm_add_note) and
there's a field with label (Set new State to), that I want to default to
unchanged for all users. I am admin, but cannot manage to set the state.
It accepts but on the next note its back to the previous value.

  default value for "All users" on GTK client can not be changed once
  set

Status in OpenERP Server:
  New

Bug description:
  I would like to change the default value of one field that I set previously.
  I used the same way (right click on GTK Client , default value for all users) than to set but it does not work for me (5.0.6 Windows version allinone, GTK Client Windows or MacOS, user admin).
  It is working when I select in default value, "only for me" but it is NOT working when I set "for all users".
