Hello,

I had the problem with our own data, but the problem is very difficult
to reproduce with demo data, since it depends on the ordering behaviour
of the database.

It is however very clear that UNION does not guarantee to preserve order
(as explained in the link I provided above, so there are situations
where the start and end date will be reversed.

  accounting report filter: period start and end are sometimes swapped

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  In the accounting reports wizard, when the Period filter is selected,
  *sometimes* the start and end period are inverted.

  This bug is due to the UNION statement in the query, which attempts to
  eliminate duplicates and does not preserve order (see
  http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.4/interactive/queries-union.html).

  Using UNION ALL instead solves the problem.

  Patch attached.
