I have checked your issue with latest updated code with trunk and it is
working fine at my end.

I have checked with following revision of trunk :

Server - 3770

Gtk-client- 1980

Web-client - 1299

Addons - 5403

so would you please try again with latest updated code.

  Change user preferences XML error

Bug description:
  When we change the language preference there is a short error message:
  XMLHTTP request error. Only for a short period.This error also appears
  when we change anything else in the preference window.
