[Bug 420484] Re: Magnifier animation is smoother when the mouse button is being pressed

On my nVidia (VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 7100
GS with 180.x driver ) , I actually see a difference on my screen when
moving the mouse on the fly or with the LEFT mouse button pressed (+
icons LOCKED down). I saw it a day and now I wonder how I couldn't
remark it.

I think that if I really can see it, it's there. Take a look around your
code when the icons resizes *and* option LOCK DOWN is On *and* when the
left button is pressed. A threesome conditions should be easy to find,
no ?

Status in Cairo-Dock: New

Bug description:
version 2.1.0-alpha, 64 bits Ubuntu Jaunty GNOME, GLX with an Nvidia card, Compiz, etc etc.

Affect the magnifier effect when overing icons.

I explain :

move the mouse over the dock : the smooth resizing depends of the option of the animation delay in the config panel.

*Active* the option "LOCK ICON POSITION". It's a condition to observe the bug.

- mousedown the dock : none launcher is activated, none icon is being dragged.
- move the mouse over the dock : you can observe that the animation of the magnifier is smoother !
- mouseup or leave the dock area : the animation become "normally" smooth...

If you want additional informations, just ask :)

Good luck !
