Re: [Bug 461335] Re: Even though I tell cairo-dock to not function as a taskbar, it still does in some ways...
this is not a bug in Cairo-Dock, but the normal behaviour. just restart your
gnome-panel and it will work correctly ;-)
and by the way, you can separate the 2 entity in Cairo-Dock, just don't use
the option "mix applis and launchers"
you can even move your launchers to another main dock, and place it on
another side of your screen to have 2 docks : 1 for launchers, one for the
taskbar.

Even though I tell cairo-dock to not function as a taskbar, it still does in some ways...

Dock Team, which is subscribed to cairo-dock in ubuntu.
Status in “cairo-dock” package in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: cairo-dock
I want to use cairo-dock solely as a launcher, while still making use of my regular Ubuntu taskbar.
When I disable the taskbar functionality (even though the module is forced-on), when I minimize an application, it minimizes to cairo dock.
When I have compiz window previews enabled, they also don't show up when I hover over my taskbar, but they do when I hover over cairo-dock.
