I'd need more details here :
did you try with cairo-dock -c ?
when you say "disappear", is it hidden ? (you can set a background to to the callback zone to see it)
what is this launcher ? is it already active ? is the corresponding window maximized ? hidden ?

cairo-dock disappears by clicking on a launcher(task) and clicking on the same launcher while hiding.
