[Bug 478345] Re: dock unusable if the position is on the left or right side

It seems that the notification 374 (cd_icon_effect_free_data) occurs
every time I left an icon by moving the mouse over the dock. But it
occurs very often too, if I left-(or right-)click on a launcher. I
definitively don't move the mouse by clicking the launcher.

I tried the same thinks while locking and unlocking the icons with the
same result. I tried the same thinks while locking the dock with "-k"
with the same result.

So what happens? A notification event occurs, separate the mouse-button-
press-event from the mouse-button-release-event? Is it possible to save
the mouse-button-down-event and test on mouse-button-release if the
down-event belongs to the same icon?

Bug description:
Version 2.1.1-2

Cairo-Dock is unusable if it is located on the left or right side of the screen. A click on the icons may or may not give any result. Most times a click is ignored. At the positions top and bottom Cairo-Dock worked fine.

I tested this on some of my computers with different graphic cards (NVidia 9500 GT, ATI X700, ...). All of the systems runs KDE 4.3.2. I tested it with version 2.0.7 too with the same result.
