[Bug 493602] Re: terminal app dysfunctionalism

let's be constructive folks, what's the problem exactly ?
if you make a launcher with the command
"gnome-terminal -e mc", it doesn't work ?
did you try with another program than mc, like a simple bash script which would only sleep for a few seconds ? I think it would work.

but the real roblem is probably that you want to launch a program in a terminal, using the option directly. Then, why not using xterm ?
If TERM is defined when the dock is launched from the menu, then we can use $TERM instead of xterm, but I'm not sure it is.

Bug description:
If I use "launch in terminal", cairo-dock uses an xterm instead of gnome-terminal. The only way around this I have found is to move xterm and create a symlink in /usr/bin "xterm"->gnome-terminal.

That is very hackish. Does no one who uses cairo-dock use terminal apps??!?

If you choose not to run in terminal and just set the command, eg "gnome-terminal -e mc", cairo-dock just counts this as a terminal and jumps to the nearest one instead of launching the command.

This makes it totally useless for my purposes, which is a shame. Big big oversight people.
