[Bug 500209] Re: UI issues

ok about the UI issues, they all have been fixed, except for the "Validate" button, which actually does a "Apply" + "Quit'.
I'll maybe remove it, especially if I add an update callback to each of the widgets.

about the button with icons, I don't understand what the GTK devs have tried to do with this ... now it's impossible to have the icon dispayed next to the text ?? so I'l have to manually add a GtkImage in a hbox and pack the whole inside the button ... crazy.
I'll do that when I have some free time ^_^;

ok for the default icon name for the Dustbin applet (it is now "Trash" b
default, but some themes may have kept another name...)

about merging the themes with the wonfig panel, it's an interesting
idea, it needs some work though.

ok for "root docks" too.

since this thread has a lot of requirements, forgive me if I've forgotten some ^_^
you can test all these things tonight, I've plenty of things to commit.
Thanks again ;-)

Status in Cairo-Dock : Core: Fix Committed

Bug description:
Since , i noticed that the cairo dock is cleaning up the configurations window , I thought I'd mention a couple of other simple issues:

- The "Quit" button , in the configurations window , should actually be named "Close" , since all it does is close the window. Generally , in all other applications "Quit" is used to quit the whole application including all running instances.
- "OK" and "Quit" buttons seem to perform the same function. Why have two buttons? "Close" could just replace both.

- When user right-clicks on the dock , the Cairo-dock submenu , has too many options.
Could the "Developer site" and the "Community site" options be moved to the "About" window? It would be easier to better explain the options and provide these links in the "About" window.

- Using the Up and down arrow icons for the Unmaximize and the minimize is a bit misleading... Ideally, the dock could use its own icons which are consistent with default metacity buttons , or not show any icons like how metacity does it.
- Keep the unmaximize and minimize options together , similar to the options shown in the window , Would give some consistentcy to the user when using both the dock and the metacity window. [currently they are separated by the "show" option ]

PS: nice work on the new simple mode :)
