Re: [Bug 545172] [NEW] cairo-dock exits if no plugin found

Sorry but I'll be intransigent here. ^^
actually you do need plug-ins, even if you don't need applets (although I'm
quite sure you may find some of them useful ;-) )
the fact is that plug-ins provide various functionnalities such as
animations, dialog bubbles, views, etc.
So the best way to solve this bug now is to press your distrib packager to
integrate the dock and its plug-ins asap (this is exactly the goal of this
"feature", avoid that some packagers only package half of the project) :-)

PS : under Debian-something, there is a cairo-dock-plugins package that is
currently being built (or maybe already available), I'm quite sure that it
will be available on any plateform including amd64.
The packager is called Nobuhiro.

Status in Cairo-Dock : Plug-ins: New

Bug description:
Hi,
I'm using cairo-dock version 2.1.3.5 on debian squeeze.

Since this update, i can't use it without plugins. It says :
No plug-in were found. [...] Since there is almost no meaning in running the dock without them, the application will quit now.

The thing is i don't need plugins right now (well, it's not really true, i don't use them because they are not available for squeeze amd64). I would like to use the dock anyway because just launchers and task bar are quite useful for me.

So, let *me* decide if I want to run cairo-dock with or without plugins.

In the previous version in debian, which seems to be 2.1.3.1, the dock warned me that i didn't have any plugin, but i could use it. Now, i can't. It's not fair.
