Can you check in your session manager if you 'save your session' or there isn't two Cairo-Dock in the list?
(For Gnome (Ubuntu) => System / Preferences / Startup Applications)

using cairodock on 9.10 all works well but says clock can not connect,date is there but no clock. Would like to get it to work as it looks cool
