Hi,
this is unfortunately a bug in Qt (I think the same as the one that prevent
Smplayer from working correctly)
we have reported it several times to Qt and still no fix for that :-/
you can report it to them too to make things move on.

Xorg 11
NVidia 260.19.2 multiple cards / tried this on 2 different machines w 2 diff cards and drivers
OpenSuse 11.2 64 bit
login into KDE, right click the desktop, choose lock screen, after screen locks, move mouse to be prompted with a gray box with nothing in it. type your password and press enter to login.
disable cairo-dock, logout and log back in, then lock screen again and dialog box is complete.
