Adding Screenshots,

Screenshots taken in order with action -
pre-dual.png - Standard single desktop, note that there were no issues with space reservation
dual-screen.png - My default setup, reservation of screen realestate dissappears
dual-screen-cairo-restart.png - My default setup after restarting cairo-dock
back-to-single.png - removed second monitor
dual-screen-primary-right.png - Restarted cairo-dock in single screen then re-established second monitor on right hand side and assigned primary, note that reservation of space dissappears and the drawers still open on the left screen.

Title:
  When new monitor is enabled Cairo dock does not correctly reserve it's
  space

Status in Cairo-Dock : Core:

Bug description:
  I'm using Cairo Dock with Xinerama support (because I have two
  screens) fortunately this works very well unless I am docking or
  undocking.  When new monitors are added or existing monitors are
  removed Cairo-Dock still uses the original panel it was on for hover &
  menu popups and also it does not correctly reserve the space for the
  dock if it's moved from one screen to the other, I have to shutdown
  cairo-dock and start it fresh or change the visibility setting (to
  something like always on top back to Reserve Space for the Dock,
  before this is corrected.  This is on Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit, running
  gnome, with Compiz/Metacity, the dock is run in GLX mode however, this
  is a valid issue in non hardware accelerated mode as well and has been
  an issue since at least 8.10 (on various hardware.) Everything is
  configured to latest (including nVidia drivers) and Cairo-Dock is
  2.2.0-4.
