Did you enable IMAP in GMail settings?
Can you try with our GMail third-party applet? Simply drag and drop the right link in the dock to install it ;) => http://glx-dock.org/mc_album.php?a=8

  Ubuntu 12.04 Beta2

  Using Cairo-Dock 3.0.0.0rc1 in Unity Environment (not Cairo session).

  Release 12.04 32-bit
  Kernel Linux 3.2.0-21-generic-pae

  I can successfully set up my pop account, but haven't been able to
  successfully set up gmail. It would appear to be a bug of some kind?
