Title:
3.0.0 broken pipe in ppa install to debian sid
Status in Cairo-Dock : Core:
New
Bug description:
installed cairo 3.0.0 from stable ppa to fresh debian sid. everything went fine, but when I did
apt-get install cairo-dock cairo-dock-plug-ins
it produced an error which I did not note and said to run
apt-get -f install
which I did. It also produced an error (more on that in a second, but appeared to install everything.
Logged off and back in , both on standard gnome 3 session. To make sure it was a file in use problem or a process that was running from Cairo 2.xx.
Ran:
apt-get install cairo-dock cairo-dock-plug-ins
said to run:
apt-get -f install
which I did, producing the following error code:
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/cairo-dock-plug-ins-data_3.0.0.1-3~unstable_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/share/cairo-dock/plug-ins/gnome-integration/icon.png', which is also in package cairo-dock-gnome-integration-plug-in 2.4.0~2-3
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/cairo-dock-plug-ins-data_3.0.0.1-3~unstable_all.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
root@PCAuDeb:/home/rich# cairo-dock -v
3.0.0
After Cairo dock 3.0.0 with openGL loaded fine, with no discernable
effects from the broken pipe to icon.png, so this is probably not
anything crucial, but wanted to report it.
