Hi and thanks for reporting this.
Is this because the menu is not completely visible, or really because the
menu is incomplete ? Could we have a screenshot ?
Do you have the same problem when using the gnome/unity panel ?

Bug description:
  Sometimes clicking on the connection icon in the notification area
  doesn't show the complete network manager menu. It becomes visible
  again disabling and enabling the networking form the same menu.
