Hi,
can you check that the 'Indicator-generic' applet is enabled in the dock ?
also, can you run the dock with debug (cairo-dock -l debug) and try to
print something ?

  Cairo dock 3.2.1 & Unity disabled, Canon MX328 printer

  Printer indicator didn't appear while printing.
