Yes, maybe the dock received some corrupted informations from D-Bus or
GTK?

Status in “cairo-dock” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When I mouse-over the notification area, cairo-dock crashes and
  restarts itself. The following is output on the terminal:

  warning :  (/build/buildd/cairo-dock-3.2.1/src/cairo-dock.c:_cairo_dock_intercept_signal:182)  
    Cairo-Dock has crashed (sig 8).
  It will be restarted now.

    couldn't find an appropriate visual, trying to get one without Stencil buffer
