Hi Lorenzo, I solved reinstalling the Cairo Dock.

Anyway the problem was caused by the plugins.
If you have them , you can try "sudo apt-get remove cairo-dock-plugins", and see if cairo dock starts.

I am not expert about cairo-dock, could it be a setting problem
regarding the desktop them?

*/Theme directory apps/192 of theme unity-webapps has no size field/*

For example webapp font setting?

  error with cairo dock, crash with cairo dock plugin

Bug description:
  Hello, I report this bug only because it can be useful.
  I got minor problem with debian and mint.

  With Kde ArchLinux, it is crashing when I try to start it.
  Without cairo plugins I got errors but it works, after installing the plugins the errors are causing the crash.
  I have an Nvidia card, with Nvidia driver, Cairo also crashes with -c option.
  No alsamixer module loaded (I tried)
