Yes, why did you change the status to "Won't Fix"? This bug is fixed, no? :-)
Without the backtrace, it's hard to know what was wrong exactly. But maybe by reinstalling the dock, you install the latest version (3.3.2) which fixes a crash that affect KDE user (more details there: LP: #1244997 ).

Bug description:
Hello, I report this bug only because it can be useful.
I got minor problem with debian and mint.
With Kde ArchLinux, it is crashing when I try to start it.
Without cairo plugins I got errors but it works, after installing the plugins the errors are causing the crash.
I have an Nvidia card, with Nvidia driver, Cairo also crashes with -c option.
No alsamixer module loaded (I tried)
