[Bug 1284271] Re: cairo-dock assert failure: *** Error in `cairo-dock': malloc(): smallbin double linked list corrupted: 0x0000000002bfd670 ***

Hello and thank you for this bug report!

According to the stacktrace, I'm not sure that this bug is due to the dock. Yes the dock should not call a function which provoke the crash because it's not really needed to change the icon of the Impulse applet when disabling it but it should not crash it.
Anyway, I'll remove the use of this function ASAP :-)
It will fix this specific bug but the real origin of this problem will maybe not be fixed...

Title:
cairo-dock assert failure: *** Error in `cairo-dock': malloc():
smallbin double linked list corrupted: 0x0000000002bfd670 ***

Status in “cairo-dock” package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
Cairo Dock became unresponsive then became unconnected to the bottom panel and was floating about 2 inches from the top panel in gnome-flashback (with compiz).
I entered "killall cairo-dock" in terminal to start it back up and the apport-gtk appeared to report this bug.
