sorry for the bug; it's actually fixed in the latest version (on the GIT repository at least)
Not sure how/when the distro pull from GIT

  Edit an item crashes Cairo-dock

Status in Cairo-Dock Core:
  New

Bug description:
  Distros Ubuntu 20.04, Linux Mint 20 and Arch linux

  Selecting a start item (some app, eg "gedit") with the context menu
  and selecting "edit" leads to an instant crash of cairo-dock. Cairo-
  dock restarts itself.

  The cairo-dock version in "manjaro xfce"  (cairo-dock 3.4.1-4) does
  not have this problem.
