[Bug 1738752] Re: 'Shortcuts' applet does not draw content to new location after cairo-dock changes screen
Hi,
this is fixed in the latest release (3.6.0), but only if you opt-in to using the new, "experimental" code for positioning / drawing. You'll need to right click anywhere on the dock, point to "Cairo-Dock" (top item), select "Configure". In the configuration window, select "Advanced mode" (if it is not already shown), then select "System". The first option is "Experimental drawing code (X11)", you need to tick the box and "Apply".

Title:
'Shortcuts' applet does not draw content to new location after cairo-
dock changes screen
Status in Cairo-Dock Plug-ins:
Fix Released
Bug description:
$ cairo-dock -v
3.4.1
OS: Gentoo Linux 64bit
DE: XFCE
WM: Compiz
Cairo-dock is started with openGL.
How to reproduce:
* A prerequisite is that the system has two screens, so that you can move the dock.
1.) Open Cairo-Dock configuration by right-clicking on the dock
2.) Go to Behaviour/Position
3.) Under Multi-screens, if currently selected Screen 0(right), change this to Screen 1(left).
4.) Apply
Observe how the dock moves to the second screen - Screen 1 (expected behaviour), however when you hover over 'Shortcuts' it draws the content into the old screen - Screen 0 (not expected).
To fix this, a restart of cairo-dock is required. Then cairo-dock starts on Screen 1 and also Shortcuts draw the contents on the same screen.
Thank you!
