Message #00135
iPhonish browse interface
I want to develop an iPhone-like browsing interface for demo the books
we have and I thought about starting with what is already built on
calibre and improve it a bit, run it as a stand-alone and then
submitting the code back, wondering if there will be interest in it.
What I would like to do is to improve the interface a bit.
- the graphics are a bit jagged
- the movement is a bit jumpy
- the movement dies off a bit to quick
and possibly make it touch sensitive on a tablet or other touch
sensitive screens and sensitive to drag speeds so one can look easily in
a collection of hundreds and may be thousands of e-books.
My first question, as a newbie, is there a way to run that pane, by
itself ? Can anyone provide some sample code ? I saw the Manual secion
on "Using calibre in your projects" but have not been able to move from
there.
Is there interest or somebody else working on similar things ?
