i.e. it has some kind of sign off from relevant product managers.

If CM3 is to be dropped I think we need to propose that to a wider audience and get it agreed. (So not saying there is anything wrong with your arguments for why it should be dropped).

Could you take this to maybe Dave and a Product owner?
