[Bug 571247] Re: acroread remains zombie, so pdfs won't be rendered anymore
Here are a couple of really ugly workarounds if like me you have to have
embedded PDFs in FireFox.
1 add an application launcher to the panel with the code killall npviewer.bin
click on it when acroread freezes up and then refresh your page
2 switch to the 32 bit version of Ubuntu
3 Remove RAM to 3GB or under (this working indicates that nswrapper is
not working properly)
I know none of these are great options but as this is a closed source
project we will have to wait for Adobe to fix acroread and that might be
a while.
