Since it doesn't seem like this is a problem with the Ubuntu packaging
of skype, and the bug exists in a newer version of the software, could
you possibly open a bug report regarding this at skype's bug tracking
website? They will be better suited to resolve this problem. If you make
the report please link to it both on jira and on launchpad so we can
track the status.
