Hi,

I have now had several skype chat sessions which have not frozen up.

I found the solution after rereading the skype forum postings.

I saw the recommendation to take out all audio notifications.

I did this by going through each notification, and unchecking the box to play an audio notification.
I miss some events, but the visual notifications seem to work well enough.

I didn't see the suggestion to wipe the .skype directory until today, so
never tried that.

If you don't hear from me again, assume skype chat is still working for
me.
