[Bug 940821] Re: SKYPE has been automatically removed from Ubuntu 12.04(amd64) during the update process and can't be reinstalled
I just found a pretty promising hint in web:

ldd /usr/bin/skype
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xf7796000)
libasound.so.2 => /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libasound.so.2 (0xf767d000)
libXv.so.1 => not found
so the simple solution might be as described in the link above a
sudo apt-get install libxv1:i386
So, for me its to late as I switched back to 10.04 already, but for
others this might work.
