If this solves the sni-qt bug reliably, I suppose this is ok (modulo that
the binary should be installed to /usr/lib/skype, not /usr/share/skype).

What disadvantages do you have in mind? I was thinking that updating the
Exec line in /usr/share/applications/skype.desktop to point to
'skype-wrapper' would be sufficient.
