** Attachment added: "screenshot.png"
   https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skype/+bug/1365779/+attachment/4195856/+files/screenshot.png

** Description changed:

  1) lsb_release -rd
  Description:	Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
  Release:	14.04

  2) apt-cache policy skype
  skype:
    Installed: 4.3.0.37-0ubuntu0.12.04.1
    Candidate: 4.3.0.37-0ubuntu0.12.04.1
    Version table:
   *** 4.3.0.37-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 0
          500 http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/ trusty/partner amd64 Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  3) What is expected to happen is if one launches Skype, an icon appears
in the Indicator Applet Complete 12.10.1, and does not malfunction.

  4) What happens instead is Skype windows were open, left computer idle
for ~9 hours, came back and all Skype windows were blank. Force closed,
and icon still remains in the Indicator Applet Complete, but Skype isn't
- listed in pslist as per attachment.
+ listed in pslist as per attachment, so I'm unable to pkill it.
+
+ WORKAROUND: Restart computer.
